1) If my application for Provincial Nominee is accepted, does that mean I can immigrate to Canada?
No, the acceptance of Provincial Nominee application simply means that the B.C. Provincial government has approved the applicant's PNP application. To immigrate to Canada, you must fulfill the background criminal record check and medical examination.
2) How about my family? Can they immigrate with me?
Yes, all applicants' spouses and underaged children can immigrate to Canada with the principal applicant.
3) If I submit applications for PNP of other Provinces at same time, will this speed up my application process?
No, the Provincial Government want to ensure that you're genuine about working and living in the specific Province. If you've submitted other PNP applications, it may indicate that you do not intend to reside within the Province of British Columbia.
4) Upon receiving the work permit, what happens if the applicant decides NOT to invest?
If the nominated applicant has received a work permit, but decides not to invest within the 2 years, the applicant will be ineligible for the Permanent Residence application after 2 years.
5) Can I invest in regions outside of Vancouver, but still reside in Vancouver?
Yes, you can. However, your invested business and your home cannot be more than 100km apart.
