*The sponsored Family Member has 1 year to submit the Immigration application, from the dat that CPC approves the Family Sponsorship Application. 
 
 

Family Sponsorship

 

All Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residence, as long as they meet the requirements: Over age 18, proof of family relationshis, meet LICO, they may then sponsor their family members: 

 

  • Parents & Grandparents 

  • Biological children & adopted children

  • Brothers, Sisters, Nephews

  • Any relative under age 18, who has no parents/spouse

  2. Simple Requirements, mainly to verify family relationships

  3. No Langugage Requirements 

 

 

Application Requirements:

Family Sponsorship are mainly assessed on 2 Factors: 

  1. The Family Relationship is truthful and genuine；

  2. The Sponsor's Income statement from the past 12 months (A high saving bank account without steady income is considered invalid)

 

*Based on different cities and different family size units, CIC has already standardized the minimum necessary income. The sponsor's income from the past 12 months needs to exceed the standard amount, to become qualified in sponsoring overseas family members.
