Super Visa

Canadian Sponsor meets LICO requirement, and agrees to provide for the sponsored persons financially;
Canadian Sponsor must have bought a Canadian medical insurance coverage for at least one year, for the sponsored parents/grandparents;
Applicants (Sponsored parents/grandparents) must pass medical examinations;
Overseas applicants must provide proof of financial/social connection to their home country, stating that they do not intend to remain in Canada permanently

For citizens from both visa-exempt and visa-requird countries, they are both eligible to apply for Super Visa, and remain in Canada for up to 24 months.

Super Visa is recognized for having exceptionally long validity, allowing visitors to stay in Canada for up to 24 months each time (rather than 6 months), and applicants do not need to submit an application for extension every 6 months.
